- Jasmine Bencomo, a dedicated volunteer at AMC and student at NMSU, noticed the need for additional funds to support the clinic and took action! She organized this fundraising event- where all proceeds will directly benefit AMC.

☀️👏 Due to overwhelming interest, the first month of the El Paso Zoo’s Summer Camp is officially sold out! Limited spots remain for the month of July—reserve yours today.
- This year, the zoo’s Education Department is partnering with the city’s Environmental Services Department (ESD) to also teach campers how to keep our city clean: Recycling Do’s and Don’ts. The Greater El Paso Landfill. Citizen Collection Stations (CCS). Graffiti Removal. And More.
- The El Paso Zoo’s “Beauty and Beasts” Summer Camp will inspire All Conservation Heroes to learn about the vast number of animals and their habitats, how our daily activities are adversely affecting them, and most importantly, how they can create change. Discover how even the smallest heroes can make a big difference!

🐒❤️ Monkey See. Monkey Do.
- Monkeys are highly social and intelligent primates that use a combination of observation, imitation, demonstration, and social interaction to teach both their own offspring and other group members.
- Just witness the zoo’s almost two-year-old girls Ruthie and Janie following their elders’ moves: Libby (39 yr. old female), Sunday (46 yr. old female), and Hugo (13 yr. old male).

🇺🇸❤️ Thank you to our guests for spending this Beautiful Sunny Rainy Memorial Day at the El Paso Zoo!

🐒These two beautiful female Spider Monkeys were rescued from an animal trafficker during a routine traffic stop near Houston early 2025:
- was contacted and took custody of them.
- took over them and provided thorough care, including exams, lab work, and other necessary treatments. Thank you to both!
- The El Paso Zoo welcomed them on February 14, 2025.

- Thank you to our dedicated keepers for showcasing the Conditioning and Enrichment sessions with the zoo’s two resident Galápagos Tortoises: 75-year-old Mr. Potatohead and 9-year-old Fortnight.
- Thank you to Dawson Lalor from Texas State Tortoises for bringing out THREE Yearling Baby Galápagos: Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster! Kids and Adults alike adored being able to touch and for a lucky few, hold these wonderful examples of evolution.

👍 Lend a hand at the El Paso Zoo Summer Camp and inspire a young generation of animal lovers! Join us in creating fun, educational experiences while supporting wildlife conservation. Your time and energy will make a wild difference to inquisitive 6-10 yr.-olds!

📅 June 1- July 31
- Volunteer for One Week, Monday - Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
- Volunteers must be ages 16 and up

✅ Zoo Camp Attendants’ Responsibilities:
- Assist with check-in
- Supervise Campers
