A historic season comes to a powerful close.

Sun City Independent finishes 13th in the world at WGI Percussion Championships in Independent Open Class with a score of 88.05 — our highest placement and one of the strongest performances in program history.

Thank you to all of our supporters and friends: from those who traveled all way to Ohio with us, those all the way back home in El Paso, and everyone in between. Your love and support carried us every step of the way.

Though this historic season has come to a close, this just the beginning. Stay tuned for what’s next.

Sun City Independent has officially earned a spot in WGI Percussion Independent Open Finals for the FIRST time ever!

Not only was this history made with SCI, but also history made for El Paso, Texas, as no other percussion group has ever reached finals in ANY class.

With their highest score in program history, this group has shattered expectations and raised the standard for what’s possible.
