I always love knitting for my mom, especially with blue yarn to match the color of her eyes. This knit necklace is a beautiful way to quickly create something meaningful. The beaded texture adds a unique touch, and you can make it using stash yarn.

Start your necklace today with my printable pattern and step-by-step video tutorial (see comments).

A little something green from my LYS, Fengari 💚🐸

‘Karl the Frog’ is this year’s Bay Area Yarn Crawl mascot, and seeing him in person made me leap for joy.

Moments like this are why I love the yarn crafts community.

If you’re nearby, he’s worth a visit.

NEW Knitted Decor for My Studio Door 🌳 I created this Tree of Life wreath for my new studio in Moss Beach, California. It started with 55 feet of knitted I-cord (yes, really), followed by jute branches, fairy lights, moss, and lots of creative fun.

This project combines knitting with natural textures and simple crafting, and it’s easy to personalize with your own creative touches.

This move feels a lot like destashing! I’m consolidating both my home and commercial space into a single, larger location, complete with a separate film studio, office, and warehouse, even closer to the ocean.

This move, especially when it feels overwhelming, has been a good reminder of how I grew Studio Knit over the past twelve years. And how much of that growth happened because you were here. Watching tutorials. Knitting along. Sharing projects. Encouraging me when I tried something new.

Growth, for me, has never meant adding everything or holding onto every good idea. It has come from letting go of what no longer supports the work, and trusting what does.

Much like knitting, it’s happened stitch by stitch. One decision at a time. Often quietly.

I didn’t build this business by doing everything at once. I built it by choosing what to keep close, what to set down, and showing up consistently, knowing I wasn’t doing it alone.

Back to restocking the shelves and searching for that wine opener.
