This year, the El Cerrito Free Folk Festival will take place online, to ensure everyones' continued safety as we gather through zoom for several hours of songs, tunes, performances, workshops, a family program, and more.
Saturday the 23rd of October 2021. From noon to 3 PM PT. There'll be performances on Youtube and at the open mic, there's instrumental and vocal workshops from brilliant folks and a wonderful Family program. Check this space for more info on how to attend this year's El Cerrito Free Folk Festival as we get closer to the event. Let me know either below or in messenger if you'd like to volunteer to help it happen smoothly.
Since not everyone was able to be at his Salsa workshop at the festival last Saturday, I told Juan Gil I'd say a few words about his Salsa classes. He is up and running in Oakland and around the Bay Area, and his teaching comes highly recommended!

Looking forward to enjoying the festival on Saturday! I am also pumped up to present my "Guitar Parts that Support Your Voice" workshop at 3PM in room D-103. We will learn how to harmonize the guitar with the voice, bolster key vocal notes with your accompaniment, and how to listen and leave space for the singers to come through at jams and in bands. See you soon!
