This year's El Cerrito Free Folk Festival is coming up in less than two weeks, on Sunday October 19 from 12 noon until 9 pm at the El Cerrito Community Center at 7007 Moeser Lane. This year's program looks great - it's at https://elcerritofreefolkfestival.org/program-2025/ . Make sure to be there!

Dance the evening away with the San Francisco Bay Area's most elegant Undead at the 29th Annual Le Bal des Vampires on Saturday, November 2, at the allegedly haunted Alameda Elks Lodge (Photo by Jean Martin at the Lodge's second dance floor, the Nightfall Club, hosted by DJ's Persephone and Macabre Spectacle).

Greenwich Mean Time, one of our favorite vintage ballroom dance bands, also plays an evening of Regency, Victorian, and early 20th Century dance music in the Lodge's Grand Ballroom.

The festival is a joint presentation of the San Francisco Folk Music Club and the El Cerrito Arts Commission. It's always fun and informative. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tickets for PEERS' September 7 Great Gatsby Ball at the elegant Alameda Elks Lodge are still available. Greenwich Mean Time, our wonderful Fezziwig's band from Dickens Fair, will play an afternoon of vintage ballroom dance music at PEERS' FREE August 3 Picnic Dance in beautiful Lincoln Park in Alameda, CA. The picnic begins at 10am in the area near the Rose Garden but you're very welcome to come earlier to claim your favorite picnic spot and breakfast with us! Formal dancing runs from 1 to 4pm. The event is absolutely free, though donations for our exquisite and hard-working band are very welcome. Costumes from 1990 - 1920 are admired but not required.
