DAYS OF 85 WILD COW 🐄 MILKING:
$150 per team winner take all.
Limited to five three man teams. Cows will be haltered with lead ropes attached. One team member MAY (not must) be horseback. Teams will run simultaneously (at the same time) and each team turns their cow out from the bucking chutes. The lead rope must be held by a team member on the ground when the beast is released but may be handed to the mounted team member once play begins. First team to get a bottle to the judge containing enough milk to be poured out wins, and in so doing, claims the cash jackpot and the ensuing glory that will be self imposed at the triangle following the evenings events. Monday, August 3rd is the cut off for entering the Days of 85 rodeo. Call in entries on Sunday, August 2nd to 406-839-1097 between 1 - 6 PM. Feel free to enter via text to 406-839-1097….please include your full name, address, and event for each day. I will respond if I receive your text!

The Days of ‘85 are fast approaching! Two rodeos, one Saturday the 8th and one Sunday the 9th of August. Barrel racers and team ropers you will all run in slack. Saturday slack starts at 1:00 pm, barrel racing first team roping to follow, perf at 5:00 pm. Sunday, perf at 2:00 pm with slack after. Entry form is attached or call in entries are Sunday, August 2 from 1:00-6:00 pm, call 406-839-1097. Online entries will close at 6:00 pm August 3. ALSO…..stay tuned for information on wild cow milking on Saturday and added money payouts!!

Get your ranch Rodeo teams entered early this week! The deadline for Ranch Rodeo entries July 23. Gonna be a great time!!! Be a part of it!! Also, ranch broncs will be happening in conjunction with The Ranch Rodeo on July 25. Bronc riders your deadline to enter is July 23 as well. Text 406-839-1097

The ETA youth rodeo is now behind us and was a tremendous success!! Like Les said as he opened the day, “these small hometown youth rodeos are where the world champions get their start” (not verbatim). A huge thank you to all of the volunteers that helped to make the day such a success. There are too many to list, but each of you knows who you are. Whether you worked in the arena, outside of the arena or whether you helped with the planning stages weeks in advance, the Ekalaka Track and Arena as well as the entire community are very grateful for what you have done.
