This is why I try to avoid hitting tires at all cost. It gets expensive!I would rather take drivers door hit. I would like to apologize to all the wibaux civic club/fans for losing my temper while racing.

6/25/2026: Lewistown Fair Race

This has been Justin’s best points day by far. We went up Friday night and enjoyed the carnival with the kids. Saturday, he only ran his mod car. He started first row of the first heat and took 1st place. In the A main he started pull position first row and finished 1st overall. The car ran beautifully and sounded great. He’s only getting faster as the year progresses. We ended the day with the guys going to the demo derby and the kids and Mary enjoyed the carnival again.

Doug and Sandy went to Bowman for their classic car show. Sandy wound up buying this beautiful 1949 Chevy.

Now to go home and put up with the heat some more. Then Justin races in Miles City next weekend.

Thank you to all of our sponsors: A&A Stieg Wholesale, mom and dad, TSO Cantina, Wilbur Repair out of Belle Fourche, Kristi Burns, and Sun & Sage Photography.

Thank you to mom, dad, Jennifer and Ridge as always for taking care of the animals while we’re away. It takes a village to make a race season possible, and we have an awesome one.

July 4th & 5th Update:

July 4 was a hot one. Thank goodness for motorhomes with a/c and ice cold water. Justin ran 2 cars. His modified and his 2005 Cadillac that he threw together before Lewistown. After fixing the water problems he had from Lewistown, he came back and took 1st in his heat. Then took 1st in the A Main even after some lappers got in his way and almost let second place get around him. Aside from the lap cars, it was a dang good race between him and Bret.

In modified he took 2nd in his heat and 2nd in the A Main. He looked the fastest he’s been all year and it was an adrenaline rush just to watch them.

July 5 turned out to be hotter than the 4th and it was just downright miserable, but he still decided to race two cars. Once again in limited and modified.

In limited he got 1st in his heat once again. However, his water tank wound up getting a leak, so in the A Main the Cadillac went into limp mode, but he still got 3rd.

In modified he once again took 2nd in his heat. Not much to report as far as exciting news on what happened in the modified race, but he did get 1st in the modified.

Thank you to all of our amazing sponsors. A&A Stieg Wholesale, and mom & dad. The ones who really set the foundation for us and made this possible. To TSO Cantina who has been a valued sponsored for 3 years. If you’re ever in Ekalaka needing some good food, a cold drink, or a wake up coffee, they’re the place to go. To Wilbur Repair in Belle Fourche, for all of your ag or truck repair needs give them a call. To Kristi Burns who is always supporting us in one way or another, she is truly a big part of our family. To Sun & Sage Photography for capturing the memories on and off the track. To Jennifer and Ridge for keeping check on our animals while we were gone. To Toni, Gusty, Daisey and Raina Kratzer for keeping Shiloh entertained all weekend. And to Shauna Johnson for driving me around to get groceries on Friday night. We’re so grateful for all of the help we receive to make this possible.

It was a fun weekend with family, but boy was it hot. Now the family is off to go on camping trips, celebrate an anniversary, then Lewistown at the end of the month. See you soon with another update!

Now that we have a chance to get caught up, June was the start to what quickly became a busy summer for Stieg Motorsports

On June 6 we went to our first Glendive race. Justin ran only his modified car and the day went without troubles. He took 2nd in the modified A Main that day.

Then what should have been 3 weeks off from racing soon became Justin building a 2005 front wheel drive Cadillac in a week. We decided to head off to Lewistown on June 20 to race their non-points race just to test it out. He ran it in both limited and modified. He won his limited heat and took 4th in the modified heat. Then for the A Mains, he had a bit of water trouble and got 5th in limited and 4th in modified. Not bad for his first time running it.

To round out the month of June, we took the kids to the splash pad in Baker, and we drove up a couple of classics. Jelly in his ‘64 Chevy c-10 choptop and Doug in his 1980 TransAm.

As always, we want to give a shoutout and huge thank you to our sponsors: A&A Stieg Wholesale, Wilbur Repair out of Belle Fourche, SD, TSO Cantina, and Kristi Burns. Thank you all for making this all possible.

A more in depth update for this past weekends race will be up tomorrow!

May 30, 2026: Justin’s race season has officially started. We went to Billings/Acton, MT. We don’t have any pictures of the race and the car, the weather wasn’t fully in our favor with rain sprinkles and a big rain shower after the race was over.

But the weather felt nice after the 80 and 90° days we’ve had here lately.

Justin is mainly racing only his modified this year.

He placed 3rd in the heat race, then took 2nd in the A Main.

It was a good start to the race season, even if it was a pain to load in the rain, but we’re excited to see how the season turns out.

We want to give a huge shoutout to our sponsors:

-A&A Stieg Wholesale for their continuous support over the years. None of this would be possible without mom and dad. If you’re ever in need of fuel, propane, basic hardware and lawn and garden necessities, or cards for any holiday season, Doug and Sandy have you covered.
-Kristi Burns for always treating us as one of her own, and supporting us in all paths of life.
-TSO Cantina for their continued sponsorship, and putting a good meal in our belly. If you’re ever in Ekalaka, stop by TSO for some yummy food or a cold drink.
-Wilbur Repair in Belle Fourche, SD. If you’re in need of pickup, truck, tractor, and heavy equipment repair, call Wilbur Repair. They do field service too.

🏁 2026 Race Season Sponsorship Opportunity 🏁

As we get ready for another race season, we want to give a huge thank you to all of the amazing businesses and people already supporting Justin and his race team this year. Your support truly means the world to us and helps keep us on the track each weekend.

We are still looking to partner with additional businesses for the 2026 season! If you would like to have your business promoted throughout the race season and become an official sponsor, we would love to talk with you.

Sponsorships help support everything from tires and fuel to maintenance and travel — and in return, we’re excited to help promote and represent businesses both at the track and on social media all season long.

If you’re interested or would like more information, please message Mary or Justin anytime! 🏁
