Homemade food preservation doesn't take up that much time. Okay, so my chicken fajitas didn't turn out perfectly, but saving one quart was still a win. I finally finished my trees this afternoon and my walk down memory lane. This silver tree holds all 3 of my children’s first baby shoes. Such a great way to enjoy them each year instead of packing them away.

This tree has been hiding in my attic for 4 years, and let me tell you, getting it down by myself was a feat! I think it’s bound for the church after this Christmas. Decorating it was an emotional ride, though. Each ornament holds a special memory – 56 years’ worth. Handmade, gifted, or picked up on travels and performances, they all tell a story. Tears, smiles, and so many feelings!
