Cappaert Contemporary Gallery will present its annual CUP + Mug Show with an opening reception on Saturday, September 12, from 3–7 pm. The invitational exhibition will feature more than 100 mugs, cups, yunomi, and drinking vessels created by 10 invited ceramic artists.
Each year, the show celebrates the beauty and function of handmade ceramics. From everyday coffee mugs to sculptural drinking vessels, the exhibition highlights clay as both a practical medium and a deeply expressive art form. Visitors will find a wide range of forms, surfaces, glazes, and textures. Each piece designed to be held, used, collected, and enjoyed.
“The CUP + Mug Show is one of our favorite annual exhibitions because it brings together craftsmanship, usefulness, and joy,” said gallery owner and artist Ginnie Cappaert. “A handmade cup invites a personal connection. It becomes part of daily ritual while also carrying the mark, imagination, and touch of the artist.”
The exhibition will be on view at Cappaert Contemporary Gallery, a working studio and gallery in Egg Harbor featuring contemporary painting, sculpture, glass, clay, and jewelry. Guests are invited to attend the reception, view the full collection of ceramic vessels, and enjoy the gallery during this special art tour weekend.
