Birch Creek Music Performance Center Birch Creek is a unique, performance-based summer music program for youth and adults in Door County.

Birch Creek, located in the heart of Wisconsin's beautiful Door County, is a young musician's dream. Founded in 1976, this unique summer music academy and concert venue provides talented students, ages 13 to 19, advanced training as well as the opportunity to perform publicly alongside some of the top music professionals in the country. Birch Creek offers four two-week summer sessions: Percussion

& Steel Band, Symphony, and Jazz (two sessions). The student-to-faculty ratio averages 2:1, ensuring that students receive attentive mentoring from top music educators and professionals. Following the academy season we also offer a Symphonic Wind Ensemble Camp (formerly Adult Band Camp) for community band members and music teachers and a Chamber Music Retreat for adult musicians at an intermediate or above level.

🎷 Sept. 12 | Michael Stryker Quintet: A Blue Note Tribute (7:00 PM)
Kick off the season with hard-bop classics and soulful jazz standards from the iconic Blue Note catalog.

🎹 Sept. 18 & 19 | Dueling Pianos: "The Sequel to the Sequel"
Jodie DeSalvo and Colin Welford return with virtuosic piano duets, quick wit, and musical surprises. (3 shows across Sept. 18 & 19!)

🎺 Sept. 26 | Talk of the Town (7:00 PM)
Kevin Van Ess and his Dixieland Jazz Band bring infectious Bourbon Street energy and upbeat rhythms back by popular demand.

🎷 Oct. 10 | Associates Fall Fundraiser: Kirby Fellis Quintet (5:30 PM)
An immersive evening featuring authentic hard bop, soulful originals, and deep cultural legacy with Indigo Soul.

🎄 Dec. 5 | Christmas at Birch Creek (2:30 PM Matinee & 7:00 PM Evening)
Celebrate the holidays in beautifully decorated Juniper Hall with the Birch Creek Symphony Brass, Dan Moore, the Door County Community Handbell Choir, and guest performers!

The Chamber Music Retreat wrapped up yesterday with a wonderful public concert at Juniper Hall, featuring nearly two dozen different ensembles! 🎶

Throughout the retreat, musicians worked closely with Birch Creek faculty through instruction, coaching, rehearsals, and ensemble playing. It all came together in yesterday’s concert, showcasing the musicianship and variety of the retreat.

The Wind Ensemble Retreat wrapped up on Saturday with a wonderful public concert in the Dutton Concert Barn! 🎶

Over the course of the retreat, musicians came together for rehearsals, sectionals, masterclasses and ensemble performances, culminating in a concert that showcased their hard work and musicianship.
