Take a few hours off this Friday morning, May 8, and spend it at The Wildey Theatre for the live broadcast of KMOV's News 4 Great Day! They're heading to Edwardsville for this FREE event to focus on all of the fantastic Route 66 centennial activities happening in 2026 in Edwardsville and in all the towns in the last 100 miles of the Mother Road in Illinois. (Our own Edwardsville Route 66 Festival is coming up on Saturday, June 13, in City Park!)
The doors of the Wildey, 252 N. Main Street, open at 7:30 a.m., and the broadcast begins at 9 a.m. Breakfast pastries and coffee will be provided by Edwardsville's own 222 Artisan Bakery!
This appearance is in honor of National Travel & Tourism Week and will feature our tourism partner and Illinois Route 66 experts, Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau, plus Heritage Corridor Destinations, Visit BN, Visit Springfield, and Enjoy Illinois.

Want to have your own personal movie night at the Wildey with up to 100 of your friends including popcorn and soda? Raffle tickets available on line or at the Wildey ticket office.

The Friends of the Wildey Theatre is selling raffle tickets to win a free night at the Wildey Theatre. The winner gets to pick the movie and invite up to 100 guests. The prize includes popcorn and soda for all guests and a personal message on the Wildey marquee.

Each chance to win is only $5 (plus $1.50 for charge orders) and participants must be 18 years old or older to buy a ticket.

Raffle tickets are available at: www.HistoricWildey.com; by writing [email protected]; and at the Wildey Theatre Ticket Office at 252 N. Main Street in Edwardsville. Raffle tickets are being sold now through April 14, 2026, when the winner will be drawn.

The proceeds from the raffle will be used to redecorate the lobby of the Wildey Theatre in its original Art Deco theme.

While you are out and about this Saturday (February 28) enjoying the Choco-Lotta-Fun Crawl, be sure to visit The Wildey between noon and 3 p.m. to enter a guess in our candy contest! One winner will receive a $20 Wildey movie night prize package (concessions and tickets for two)!
