The next election for City of Edom Officials will be held on November 4, 2025 at the Edom Community Center located at 150 VZCR 4800, Edom, TX 75754.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICE; To be eligible to be a candidate for, or elected or appointed to, a public elective office in the City of Edom, a person must:
(1) be a US citizen;
(2) be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election;
(3) have NOT been determined by a final judgement of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be:
(A) totally mentally incapacitated; or
(B) partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote;
(4) have NOT been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities;
(5) have resided continuously in the state of Texas for 12 months and in the City of Edom for six months;
(6) be a registered voter as a resident of Edom, Texas
Filing period for a place on the ballot is July 19, 2025 to August 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM
