🚨EHV-1 Advisory🚨

Brackenridge Main Event Center is closely monitoring the recent EHV-1 outbreak affecting horses in our region and across the state. We were notified that some horses participating in an event at our facility this past weekend may have experienced potential exposure in Waco. The health and safety of the equine community remain our highest priority. In response to this situation, our team has implemented enhanced biosecurity measures throughout the facility, including increased sanitation protocols, heightened monitoring, as well as a pause on all horse traffic to our facility.

We are in continuous communication with event producers, state animal health officials, and industry partners to ensure we receive the most current information and follow all recommended guidelines. As updates evolve, we will review and make adjustments to our event schedule as necessary to protect the well-being of all horses on our grounds.

We strongly encourage all owners, trainers, and exhibitors to remain vigilant during this time. Please monitor your horses closely for any signs of illness, stay home, and follow all established biosecurity procedures. If you have concerns or observe symptoms consistent with EHV-1, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Together, through shared responsibility and precaution, we can help reduce the risk of transmission and support the health of our equine partners. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our horses safe.
