Yesterday, EFA staff members Savannah Whitehead, Janet Hoppe, and Hannah Glavas attended the RECON26 Leadership Conference, made possible by generous community sponsors, including KIMRAY, Regent Bank, The Center for Organizational Health, and other organizations that recognize the importance of great leadership.
One of our biggest takeaways was that our impact as leaders extends beyond our own accomplishments. It grows through the people we encourage, support, and help develop. At Edmond Fine Arts, that starts with our teachers: recognizing their strengths, giving them room to grow, and helping them feel supported and valued. That investment creates a ripple effect, shaping how they encourage their students, build confidence, and inspire creativity throughout our community.
We had the opportunity to hear from nationally recognized speakers Simon T. Bailey, Thomas Hill III, Juliet Funt, Sherri Coale, and Dr. Nathan Mellor, who shared their insights on “The Multiplication Effect.” Each speaker was dynamic, transparent, and passionate about sharing their experiences with the audience.
At Edmond Fine Arts, we’re excited to put these lessons into practice by continuing to invest in our teachers. When teachers feel supported and valued, that impact extends beyond our team and into our classrooms, where students build confidence, explore their creativity, and develop a sense of belonging. That’s the ripple effect we have the opportunity to create.
