Raised amidst the serene landscapes of Southwest Oklahoma, Lloyd's artistic journey began with humble origins. Throughout his early years attending Altus public schools, art education was scarce, but his passion for creative expression remained unwavering. A pivotal moment arrived when Lloyd embarked on his higher education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the 1960s. These years marked

his first true exposure to the world of art, igniting a spark that would shape his future. With each art class, he laid the foundations of his artistic expertise, evolving from a student of art to a dedicated art major. Determined to share his passion, Lloyd pursued a Bachelor's degree in art education, alongside an additional certificate in commercial art. His journey in education commenced in the Altus public schools, where he kindled the artistic flame within young minds. His dedication led to the design of a new art the facility for Elk City public schools, enriching the artistic experiences of his students. Lloyd's teaching endeavors extended far beyond Oklahoma's borders. He spent significant time teaching in Bound Brook, New Jersey, and Sayer, Oklahoma, where he not only crafted minds but also designed art facilities that would inspire generations to come. During his tenure, he pursued a Master's degree, further enriching his understanding of the art and education synergy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. A significant chapter of Lloyd's legacy was etched during his 22 years at Western Oklahoma State College, where he not only taught but also chaired the art department. A true advocate of artistic growth, he judged art shows across Oklahoma communities and played a pivotal role in fostering creativity within diverse settings. From churches to schools, from prisons to civic groups, his dedication was unwavering. Lloyd's journey across various artistic media showcases his boundless creativity.
