Thank you for an incredible 4 years of the best VIBES!

In the spring of 2020 business and city leaders in Edmond gathered with the desire to have a monthly art walk in Downtown Edmond. Edmond Fine Arts was part of those conversations and volunteered to take on the task of creating these events for the community. In April 2021, Edmond Fine Arts launched VIBES Edmond’s First Thursdays!

For the past 4 years it has been an honor and joy to work alongside over 400 visual and performing artists and 50+ downtown Edmond businesses to provide 28 VIBES events to the community making a multi-million dollar economic impact for the city. As the demands for programming at Edmond Fine Arts are increasing, and with our Capital Campaign on the horizon, it is necessary for our organization to take a pause on providing VIBES to the community.

We are incredibly grateful to all that have been involved, attended, and cheered on VIBES over the past 4 years! It is our hope that another group or organization will pick up the program until we are able to resume managing it.

One especially big THANK YOU to the businesses that financially supported these events: Citizens Bank of Edmond, Matt Wilson Homes, Edmond Electric, The Mule, The Grant Group, First Bank & Trust Co., SA. architects, and others throughout the 4 years.

🎨VIBES Volunteer Committee Highlight: Tanner Bonham🎨

Meet VIBES Volunteer Tanner Bonham💖 Tanner is the Financial Advisor at Edward Jones.

Tanner says he is passionate about being a part of VIBES because, "Being a part of VIBES allows you to support creativity, connect with others, and contribute to a vibrant community event that celebrates art and culture. I think that’s pretty special."

His favorite memory, purchase or performance from VIBES is, "An amazing pottery/flamed glass sculpted as a succulent made by Adrienne Parcher."

Tanner's favorite place to hangout in DTE is, "I hang out most at my friend, Beau Lee’s store, Bison Creek Apparel!"

🎨VIBES Volunteer Committee Highlight: Jaylee Simpson🎨

Meet VIBES Volunteer Jaylee Simpson💖 Jaylee is the HR Coordinator for TFCU.

Jaylee says she is passionate about being a part of VIBES because, "I think the thing that makes me most passionate about vibes is seeing the Art community that we have here in Edmond! I have lived in Edmond for over 11 years now and last year was the first time I have ever went to VIBES - I fell in love! When I’m at work I always tell my coworkers “Y’all it’s VIBES night, come see our local artists!!"."

Her favorite memory, purchase or performance from VIBES is, "My favorite purchase from vibes are some cute costumed made earrings! I get TONS of compliments on them and I always get excited to share where I bought them!."

Jaylee's favorite place to hangout in DTE is, "I would say I mostly hang around the Patriarch, the vibes are just very chill there!"

🎨Visual Artist Highlights🎨

VIBES is excited to have many amazing Visual Artists participating in the 2024 VIBES Season! Meet 2 of them: Trio Craft Co., and Wesley Luster.

Tiffany has been creating jewelry by hand since she was just 7 years old and now shares the joy of jewelry design with her two kiddos (who inspired her to launch Trio Craft Co. in 2022!) You guessed it, the trio behind the name is Tiffany and her children, ages 7 and 11, who love coming to Edmond Vibes! She works out of their studio in Edmond (occasionally joined by the rest of the trio to create collections together), and today Trio Craft Co ships to loyal customers all over the country and has nearly100 5-star reviews on Etsy!

Wesley Luster is a passionate portrait artist that reflects his multicultural background. Varied and vibrant. Born and raised in Oklahoma city.

We look forward to having these two talented artists at VIBES this season!

Meet VIBES Volunteer Jenna Williams💖 Jenna is the Assistant Vice President of Marketing at Valor Bank.

Jenna says she is passionate about being a part of VIBES because, "I get to build genuine relationships with and advocate for our local artists, business owners, and the community."

Her favorite memory, purchase or performance from VIBES is, "My favorite purchase from this season has been a stained glass potted plant from Adrienne Parcher! She is incredibly talented."

Jenna's favorite place to hangout in DTE is, "The Railyard! It has something for everyone and every mood! Indoor seating, outdoor seating, flexibility to eat dinner from different places if your whole group isn’t all feeling the same restaurant. It’s the perfect mix!"

🎨Visual Artist Highlights🎨

VIBES is excited to have many amazing Visual Artists participating in the 2024 VIBES Season! Meet 3 of them: Thomas H. Martinez, Thomas Shaw, and To Glass Unknown.

Thomas was born and raised in Oklahoma City and has been painting since 1977. Thomases primary medias of artistic expression are acrylic and watercolor as well as pin ink. Thomas explores cityscapes, and landscapes in plain air as much as possible as well as studio work. He has had his artwork exhibited at the Myriad Botanical Gardens Art Gallery, 50 Penn Place Art Gallery and has shown his artwork in Paseo art shows, Oklahoma Artist Guild shows. In his artwork, Thomas tries to create a visual poem of the world, a moment in history an emotional souvenir of time.

Living, dying, and painting 5 miles from home... Born and raised in Edmond, designing, building homes, and developing for the past 30 years,... all in Edmond America. As a distraction from the consuming world of construction I began to paint. Over time a process of drawing, stencils, spray paint and pretty much anything I could glue on to a canvas produced what I like to call "Indoor Street Art" Now I'm brooding the horizon a bit more working on abstract images of city streets, skylines and text. I draw my inspiration from my life experiences, my work, and the ever changing canvas of my home town.

To Glass Unknown was started in October 2023 and aims to raise awareness of stained glass in Oklahoma through art, sustainability, and diversity.

We look forward to having these three talented artists at VIBES this season!
