Something big is happening this Saturday, June 20th; a 250-year birthday we will never celebrate again. Shenandoah County Celebrates 1776 and we are the opening act! In addition to our actors, come see the likes of George Washington and Peter Muhlenberg, just to name a few, colonial music, art, encampments, horse troops, demonstrations, trades of the 18th century, and much, much more. Even when we’re not rehearsing, the work is never done!

It takes a lot of work to put on a show, more than the directing, acting, line memorizing, and singing. It also takes construction, and everything is done by volunteers!

Despite their collective annoyance and calls for him to stop talking, Adams remains defiant, persisting in his calls to "vote for independency" and ultimately declaring that he will "never" be silenced.

"1776" is a Tony Award-winning musical by Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone that dramatizes the Second Continental Congress's struggle to declare American independence from Great Britain. The show humanizes the founding fathers, following John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson as they navigate intense political division, compromise, and debates over slavery.
