Friendly reminder 6th grade parents: If you are renting an instrument from Lincoln County Music, they will be in the high school music room tomorrow night at 5:30. Bring required documentation from the handout.

Marching Band Families:

Even though Mizzou's Band Day doesn't happen until September 19th, I want to go ahead and get information out. Here is the link to the event's website. The students will get into the game for free since they are performing, but anyone wanting to come watch will need to purchase a ticket to the football game. Mizzou also has a clear bag policy, so please keep that in mind. This is the first time we get to do this event, and I am super excited that the students get to perform at Halftime! Departure and meal logistics will be shared closer to the date.

Individual participants are welcome to join us at Marching Mizzou rehearsal at the Marching Mizzou Practice Field located at 1540 Providence Point, Columbia, MO. Please park in lot SG4 (no permit needed) just north of the Practice Field.

Here is our marching band shirt design for this year! If you aren't in marching band and would like to order a shirt, let Miss Blake know. Money is due with the orders. If your marching band student would like a crewneck, please let Miss Blake know (they will already be getting the t-shirts...crewneck is additional).

Marching Season is upon us! Here is the info for band camp and the season. A more detailed season schedule will be sent home with the students during band camp. All 8th-12th grade band students need to be there. Bring a water bottle and a snack. We will meet in the high school music room, but be prepared to go outside. It's going to be a fun season!

If you would like to dust off your instrument and play in the Knox County Community Band at Hurdland’s 4th of July Celebration, we will be meeting on the trailer before the parade to practice. Parade lineup is at 10, so try to be there by 10:15/10:30. I will have music, chairs, and stands. We usually meet between 4th and 5th streets on Knox St. The parade is at 11 and we will play a short performance under the bandstand at 12:15. For those of you coming from out of town, W Gardner is HWY 6.

Congratulations to Ryan Park for being selected to attend the Missouri Fine Arts Academy at MSU in Springfield. He will spend the next two weeks on campus.

The band and choir version of Senior Sunday! These wonderful young adults walk across the stage today and receive their diplomas. I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

All three of these students have been in band since sixth grade. Alana has been in band and choir since sixth grade.

Today was the sixth graders’ last day with our SAM student Zane. They have loved having him in band this year helping out. We wish him the best!!!
