Well I'm happy to say the kids made it through their first night running the business on their own. I wasn't there to witness what went on, but I do know they were gloating with pride when we pulled in. They couldn't wait to tell us their profit for the evening. They were so happy. They didn't think that they would get many to show up, since I made it known that they were the ones running it. I will be honest, I can be a control freak, especially when it comes to our business. I told the kids several times, it has taken us seven years to build this business up, your actions this evening could make or break us. We have raised you to be responsible, but this is your chance to show us what you are capable of when we are not around to supervise. Karl said they make me very proud, I have second that, for they are sixteen, fourteen, twelve and nine years old. When so many kids their age are making plans to enjoy their Christmas vacation, they were making plans on how they were going to tweak and run this business. I want Thank all of you who came out to support these kids, for you made their night! Karl and I got done earlier than expected with our obligations, my first thought was let's get home fast so we can check on the kids in case they need help, but he wouldn't allow that to happen. Instead he insisted we go get something to eat and leave it in their hands, and I'm glad I listen to him. The kids will be running the petting zoo, lights and train ride again tomorrow evening while we are gone from 5 to 9, be sure to bring your families out to enjoy the last Night we are open before Christmas. For those of you that did not see our post the other day, kong our camel is rented out for a nativity scene in Tennessee by a friend of ours. So he will not be in the petting zoo this next week. We have replaced him with Georgia, my oldest daughters horse. Georgia is a Full grown paint horse, that is so laid-back that any child could ride her. The kids are hoping to come up with enough help to offer horse rides tomorrow evening if weather permits. I have spoke about my children a lot in the status, for they make us very proud, but there were other kids involved this evening, that help pull this off. The great thing about being young, is having dedicated friendships. My kids called in some of their friends to help this evening, and the fact that they were able to get extra help from their friends convinces me they are going to go far in the business world. Thank you Montana, Maci, Madi, Maci, Logan, Garrett and Brayden Kuhns! You have all won our trust!
