I’ve been using this one leg improv exercise to transition out of the warm up portion of technique class. It’s a fantastic way to get in some strength training, on-center /off-center work, pathway exploration, coordination, and decision-making training all in one.

I love it because it works great for mixed level classes (like the one shown), and covers multiple movement and training goals🤍

This dancers are always ready with a WARM body and alert brain afterwards!

I’m so proud of my kids who took on this 13.5 minute monster of a piece for our annual gala!

It was such a rewarding experience to create this expanded version of one of their competition pieces in order to tell a full story on stage.

It’s so important to me that students who are serious about dance get to experience performing works that a. demand them to show a complex range of emotions and b. Exist in a piece of work that goes well beyond competition time limits.

College and professional spaces require emotional and mental endurance, not just physical.
