Today is our AMVETS Post 2 Christmas Party/Chinese gift exchange at 1:00 PM. The gift exchange will start at 1:30 PM. Finger foods will be available before and during the event.

Hey everyone - AMVETS Post 2 December 2022 monthly calendar is available for pick-up at the Post. So pick one up when you are there.

Highlights for the Month of December

December 4th - AMVETS Post 2 and the City of Edgewater are proud to Host a Remembrance Ceremony of the 81st Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day!

The ceremony will be at Hawkes Park at 1:00 PM

At the conclusion of the ceremony, AMVETS Post 2 will host a luncheon at the Post. So please come and help us celebrate and remember our heroes.

December 10th - AMVETS Post 2 will have our Christmas Party/Chinese gift exchange at

1:00 PM. The gift exchange will start at 1:30 PM. Finger foods will be available before and during the event. This is really a fun event!

A flier is posted on the bulletin board for your to sign up if you wish to participate in the gift exchange. We need to have an accurate count for the number drawings. Also, a list is posted for patrons to bring in some sort of a snack tray or your favorite dish.

December 14th - The Bingo committee will have a Christmas party for the Bingo crowd. It will start at 5:00 PM and of course bingo will start at 6:30 PM. Make sure you have signed up to be there.

December 31st - We will have our New Year's eve party. Still in the planning stage, so more to follow later.

Please don't forget every Tuesday/Wednesday's we have CARDO and Quarters-Up-Bingo at 6:30 PM

Hey everyone, lets bring you up to date on some important events!

Friday - Nov 18th, at 5:00 PM, the Vets dinner is going to be roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggie and a dessert. Cole promises it to be juicy and tender. So come and enjoy a good meal. Music is DJ "Jay" with Karaoke.

Saturday - Karaoke with Karen at 6:00 PM.

Next week is Thanksgiving week. It was a unanimous vote by the CARDO players that we will do CARDO on Tuesday, Nov 22nd. See you at 6:30 PM.

THURSDAY - NOV 24TH - THANKSGIVING DAY

The Post will host a Thanksgiving day dinner for those that want to come and have no where to go or no family to help celebrate. There will be turkey and ham and all the fixn's that go with it.

There is no charge for this dinner. We just want friends and family to all come together and enjoy each other's company. So, if you don't want to be alone, can't cook, have no kitchen, the Post is the place to be!

AMVET'S POST 2 CHRISTMAS PARTY - CHINESE GIFT EXCHANGE

The Christmas party will be held on December 10th, at 1:00 PM with the gift exchange starting at 1:30 PM. There is a sign up sheet on the Post bulletin board for those that want to participate in the gift exchange and how the game is played. It is a lot of fun watching patron get gifts, open them and watch someone take it away from them. It is important that you sign up so we can get an accurate count on the amount that will participate.

We also will have finger sandwiches and snacks available throughout the party. There is also a list for people to bring in a dip or snack for this event. So please, get your name on the list!
