Chilimania Feel the heat at Chilimania in Edgerton, WI! An epic festival with live music, chili & salsa cook-offs, pepper eating contest & spicy fun all weekend!

Held the first weekend after Labor Day. Proceeds benefit local students, schools, and community causes. Chilimania is held annually on the first Saturday after Labor Day in Edgerton, Wisconsin. It is home to the Wisconsin State Championship CASI-Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off, a traditional chili cooking contest, and a salsa contest. Chilimania, a not-for-profit organization, started from a grand vision and began its first year with fewer than 20 cook-off participants. The event drew a loyal crowd that continued to grow year after year, as the festival consistently booked some of the Midwest’s best-known headlining bands on its Main Stage.

… To one of Edgerton’s favorite events! Today, the group has given back to the community during the past 30+ years through annual spring scholarships to graduating Edgerton high school students, community donations, and many other Edgerton Student Clubs and Athletics.

Two weeks until Billy Joel meets Elton John… Chilimania style with Billy Elton! 🎹

Billy Elton is bringing an 8-piece, completely live show to downtown Edgerton, with the classics you know, the piano-driven energy you love, and two chances to catch them on Saturday, before AND after our chili winner announcements.

From “Piano Man” and “Only the Good Die Young” to “Crocodile Rock” and “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting,” this is the kind of set that turns into one giant sing-along fast.

We’ve talked about it. We’ve hyped it. And now it’s close enough that you can practically hear the crowd already!

On Friday, September 11th, Dylan Scott is taking over the Chilimania Country Edge stage with the hits you know, the energy we’ve been waiting for, and one BIG fundraising night right here in downtown Edgerton.

And Friday is stacked from the start when Jason Stubbs kicks things off, IV Play turns the party all the way up, you get a chance to bid on amazing prizes during the Country Edge Auction, and then Dylan Scott brings it home. 🔥

IV Play. 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗦. 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗦!!
IV Play is hitting the Chilimania stage before Dylan Scott with the kind of high-energy show that turns a crowd into a party FAST. Arena rock. Hair metal. ’90s favorites. Country. Current hits. Basically, if it gets people singing, dancing, or throwing a hand in the air, there’s a pretty good chance IV Play knows exactly what to do with it.

And yes… IV Play is pronounced “foreplay.” Which feels pretty fitting considering their job is to get everybody good and 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽!! 👀🔥

Friday starts with Chilimania favorite Jason Stubbs coming all the way from Ireland, IV Play turns up the heat, and then Dylan Scott brings Country Edge home.

Our longtime Chilimania friend and Friday night opener is pulling double duty this year. First leading the fun at our Halfway to St. Paddy’s Pre-Chilimania Celebration on Wednesday, September 9 at Two Brothers Downtown Pub and Grill, then taking the Chilimania stage Friday night!

Wednesday brings live music from Jason, Irish-inspired food, Lake Effect Vodka drinks, games, prizes, and plenty of community fun all while helping support Chilimania’s scholarships, nonprofits, and community programs.

Then it’s straight into Chilimania weekend September 11 & 12 in Downtown Edgerton. 🎶

You can’t have 𝘊𝘏𝘐𝘓𝘐-mania without the 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜… and Saturday, Sept. 12th, we’re bringing plenty of it! 🌶️🥄

Chilimania is proud to be home to the CASI Chili Appreciation Society International Wisconsin State Championship 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸-𝗢𝗳𝗳, where serious chili cooks bring their best for a shot at the title. And the competition doesn’t stop there. We’ve also got the 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸-𝗢𝗳𝗳 and our 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 adding even more flavor to the day!

Then at 3pm, 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗨𝗣! 🥄 Public tasting begins, and you get to help decide who takes home the 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 crown.

Grab your sampler, make your way through the cook booths, taste as many as you can, then cast your ballot for the chili that deserves your vote. 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, and when a cook is out, they’re out. So don’t stroll in fashionably late if chili tasting is on your Chilimania bucket list. 😉

It’s competition, community, a whole lot of chili, and one of our favorite Chilimania traditions. All helping support the bigger mission behind the weekend.
