Another one of our awesome seniors!
🎭✨ **Spotlight on Senior Projects: Mackenzie Hollenbeck's Journey in Theater** ✨🎭
With just 17 days until our Fine Arts Fair, we're thrilled to showcase another incredible senior project. Today, we're shining the spotlight on Mackenzie Hollenbeck, a name synonymous with acting at our school. However, for her Senior Project, Mackenzie decided to step into a new role - that of a director and producer of a one-act play!
Mackenzie's ambition took her and our school's talents to the Panhandle One-Act Competition in Hemingford, Nebraska. It's a milestone moment, considering Edgemont hasn't graced this competition since the '90s! Competing against six other schools, Mackenzie's play secured a commendable fifth place, just a whisker away from fourth, showcasing our burgeoning talent in the arts.
But the journey didn't stop at the competition. Mackenzie also brought her theatrical vision to life right here at Edgemont, during the student council's Burgers & Bingo night. The event was a hit, drawing a large crowd that was captivated by the performance.
Dedicating over thirty hours to rehearsals, set creation, and consultations with Hemingford's theater staff, Mackenzie's commitment has been nothing short of inspirational. Her hope? To ignite a passion for one-act plays in Edgemont for years to come.
Let's applaud Mackenzie for her dedication, creativity, and the legacy she aims to build at Edgemont. Here's to more arts, more theater, and more traditions that bring us together and spotlight our incredible students' talents. Bravo, Mackenzie! 🎉🎭
