Ya'll 😫......I was not expecting Dolly's passing to hit me like this. I had to step back for a minute because the tears was welling up chile...💔

Her generosity and kindness touched soo many lives. She was the last of a dying breed...Truly one of ONE! That's when I thought about the ways she and her "giving back" had positively impacted me.

Since my children were born, I had them signed up for the "imagination library" and they would look forward to getting their new book in the mail every month. (Her organization provided FREE books for children from birth to school age📚🤗)

I also remembered attending the "FUTURE IS NICE" conference in 2010. We learned about how to preserve the earth and agriculture. A conference she either helped sponsor or collaborated with. We got tickets to DOLLYWOOD for attending!🦋💞

🗣Don't asked me what I actually learned🙃...I was just happy to be there😂😂✌🏾...BUT I said all that to say that her legacy/music will continue to live on ❤️

I posted this back in 2020 due to the death of George Floyd. Soooo many came before him and there have been so many after him, thus far.😡

It's just sad that year after year we have to KEEP reliving a trauma that plagues our black brothers and sisters.😩

It feels like it never ends....but we have to keep fighting to see another day. Change starts with us...we have to be the change we want to see...💪🏾
