d steel sheet metal. Each piece of metal is carefully cleaned, trimmed, and manually hemmed. Some are hand hammered in custom forms for dimension and rigidity, while others we keep flat for a contemporary take on the artists' canvas. Every finished piece is hand painted and entirely one of a kind.

If you're still having trouble finding a porcelain grub to call your own, may I suggest staking out the nearest colony of pink feathermoss, where they will often writhe on the soft strands to polish their patterned carapace.

It's a portal. It's a mirror. A dimension simultaneously outside time and inside every living being, the patterns that connect us: Daze and deviation.

This painting is the first of my Pattern Cats series on a larger scale, at 12x12 inches on a hand shaped aluminum panel. The cat's checkered fur is repeated in the check patterns of a golden Betta fish, glowing caterpillar, orchid-like flowers, and fuzzy moth, while the remaining plants and creatures reveal soft stripes and dots.

I wanted the scene to live at the very edge of gentle calm and buzzing excitement, as if we are on the cusp of seeing the fish complete its lazy rotation while a gust of wind sets the plants in motion, startling the moths into flight. Clouds will shift, whiskers will twitch, and the snail will complete its slow journey to the next leaf, all in perfect balance and harmony.

☠️ Happy Spooky Season Eve! 🕷️ Hehehehh.

This teeny painting is one of three concept studies I made while brainstorming for the upcoming Cute and Creepy show at Hive Gallery. Because of course cats are cute, and spiders like to creep. And I happened to be in the midst of re-reading "Children of Time" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, which I highly recommend as a wild scifi epic detailing the last of humanity's escape from a dying Earth, and the distant rise of a spider civilization. The scene with spider astronauts made me cry, and there's no way you can come away from that book without falling in love with those thangs. Seriously, I was ready for the human race to go extinct if it meant keeping Spider Planet™ alive and well.
