Today was the final day of a 3 day leaps and turns camp for dancers who are auditioning for our competitive company in late July! We offer 2 sessions of this camp during the summer! I LOVE seeing these kids grow over the 3 days, as they learn new things and have literal lightbulb moments, when things suddenly just click! This week we had a total of 15 dancers who came in and worked hard… some frustration moments and some success moments… both are a part of the growing process where dance is concerned! You cannot improve without putting work in on your technique! These kids did awesome this week and I have enjoyed them so very much! We will see some of the same faces in July and even more who have signed up for that session! I love seeing dancers in the studio putting in work, especially when it is during the summer when they could be doing anything else! ❤️

Now that all 5 of our seniors have graduated, it is time for us to say one more big CONGRATULATIONS!

We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see what the future holds! We love you all! We cannot wait for you to visit!

We absolutely love our MPDC Littles (ages 3-4). They enter our studio on the first day and begin working on being independent by coming in without a parent, following instructions, adapting to the structure in the studio room, learning fun routines that work on locomotor and non locomotor skills, learn basic ballet… by the end of the season it is always amazing at how far they come from September til May! Even though they are young.. they CAN do amazing things all while being in a fun, safe, learning environment within our studio! We cannot wait to welcome the newest littles into the studio this fall!

MPDC has 2 pathways for our dancers … Our regular studio pathway and our competitive company pathway! For our competitive company pathway… we have dancers who train all summer long!

Our summer classes are underway already, along with many dancers taking private lessons to prepare for our upcoming auditions for our competitive company groups! We have over 50 classes on the schedule, and 2 Leaps and Turns camps scheduled!

We were pleasantly surprised by having more than 75 dancers come out to the interest meetings back in May! Dancers who were members of our company last season, dancers who were in our regular pathway last season and want to audition to cross into the competitive pathway, and dancers who are coming to our studio for the first year and want to audition immediately… were all in attendance along with their parents! Just WOW!

Here is a little info about the competitive side of the studio! It is not too late to join in on some classes and audition! We do suggest that the dancer have previous experience/ training before auditioning.
