❤️ Since We’ve Reached 1,000 Followers… Let Me Reintroduce Myself! ❤️

With so many new faces here lately, I thought this might be the perfect time to tell you a little bit about the person behind Timber, Trends, and Friends!

Hi! I’m Kathie! 👋

Before this little business became such a big part of my life, I taught for 33 years. After retiring, I finally had more time to put into something else I’ve always loved — creating!

Crafting has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. My dad could build things from scratch, and I think that love of taking something simple and turning it into something special definitely rubbed off on me. ❤️ I’ve also always loved graphic design, digital scrapbooking, woodworking, painting, and, more recently, I’ve been teaching myself some new things like resin and resin jewelry!

I originally started Timber, Trends, and Friends in 2019, and like so many things, life and COVID put it on hold for a while. After retirement, I decided it was time to bring it back — and I’m so glad I did!

But my business is only one little piece of who I am.

I’m a mom of four, a mother-in-law, and one of my absolute favorite titles is Grandma! ❤️ I currently have four grandchildren, with grandbaby #5 on the way very soon! 🥰 So our family is about to get just a little bigger — and Grammy couldn’t be more excited!

One of the things I love most about Timber, Trends, and Friends is that it has become about so much more than making wooden signs. I love bringing people together. Whether it’s a group of friends laughing through a paint night, a private party, a team bonding event, or someone creating something they’re genuinely proud to take home, that is my favorite part.

And I’m still learning! I’m always looking for new things to create and new crafts I can eventually share with all of you. Sometimes they work out beautifully…and sometimes they become a “well, we won’t be doing THAT again” project. 😂 But that’s part of the fun!

So if you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you. ❤️ And if you’re one of my newer followers, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m looking forward to more workshops, more new projects, more laughs, more creativity, and hopefully meeting even more of you along the way.

🍂 **A Little Update From Me… and a BIG Thank You!** 🍂

You may have noticed I was a little quieter during August. I decided to take the month off from workshops to give myself some time to focus on a few health challenges I’ve been dealing with and just take care of myself for a bit. ❤️

But you know me… I can’t sit still for too long! 😂 I used some of that downtime to learn and experiment with some "new crafts", including working with resin and making resin jewelry! I’ve really enjoyed trying something different, and I’m excited to start sharing some of my new creations with you!

And while I was taking a little break, something pretty amazing happened…

I can’t thank you all enough for following my page, sharing my posts, attending my workshops, supporting my little business, and encouraging me along the way. Every like, comment, share, purchase, and workshop signup truly means more than you probably realize. ❤️

Unfortunately, my last workshop didn't get enough registrations to move forward, and instead of guessing what everyone wants, I thought I'd just ask.

If you've attended one of my workshops before—or have been thinking about coming—would you mind sharing your thoughts in the comments?

Unfortunately, I have to cancel this week's workshop at the Rosebud Bistro due to a lack of registrations.

While I'm disappointed we won't get to create together this time, I completely understand that summer schedules can get hectic. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and continued to support my small business—it truly means so much.

I'll be announcing more workshops soon, and I hope you'll be able to join me for one of those! Thank you to the Rosebud Bistro for always being such a wonderful host.
