In light of Dolly Parton’s passing wanted to spread word on a chance to support the ongoing work of Dolly’s Imagination Library (Imagination Library) by helping ensure the program continues right here in Eau Claire.
The Dollywood Foundation handles administrative duties and overhead, but it’s up to local partners to cover the cost of the books and mailings. (Books are always free to the enrolled families!)
Since launch in 2022, the local program has been operated by Family Resource Center Eau Claire (Family Resource Center Eau Claire) and the first five years are being funded by Pablo Foundation. Thus far over “50,000 free, high-quality books have been delivered to 2,700 Eau Claire County children”.
more via FRCEC:
“At a cost of just under $3 per book, the Imagination Library is one of the most cost-effective literacy interventions available.
The funding for this transformational program will sunset in 2027, when the Imagination Fund will take over.
Our goal of $1.6 million by October 2027 will fund the program in perpetuity and provide more than 22,000 books each year to children in Eau Claire County.”
