MEET THE ECCO MUSICIANS

Staš Hable is an Eau Claire, WI based percussionist. He was born and raised in Eau Claire and attended UWEC where he completed bachelor’s degrees in geography in 2017 and music in 2020. He has been performing with ECCO since 2014 and can also been heard performing around town with CVSO, the First Congregational Church, community theater pit orchestras, and with various other bands including Them Coulee Boys, Good Morning Bedlam, and Uncommon Denominator. He also teaches private drumset/percussion lessons at Morgan Music in EC.

ECCO violinist Sam Kelly talks about the upcoming performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams' Lark Ascending to be performed Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 2 pm. at the JAMF Theater.

MEET THE ECCO MUSICIANS

Sam Kelly is a violinist originally from Kansas City who now resides in Altoona with her husband and their four sons and two cats. She teaches k-8 music at Messiah Lutheran School, coaches a strings group at Immanuel Lutheran High School, and runs her own violin studio. She enjoys playing with ECCO, CVSO, and loves any chamber music opportunities, especially the duo- Two High Strung- that she is a part of with fellow orchestra member Addie Jo.

One of Sam's favorite parts of playing with ECCO is the opportunity to almost reside in and explore the musical headspace of a composer when she's learning a new piece of music, and then getting to bring it to life with some exceptional local musicians and friends!

Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra to present ‘Arise! Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony’ on March 22

Ryan Poquette will be beforming Ralph Vaughan Williams "Lark Ascending" at the next ECCO concert ARise! Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Ryan studied violin and music at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He joined the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra in its inaugural season and, after performing with the ensemble intermittently, was appointed concertmaster—a role he has held for over 20 years. He also serves as concertmaster of the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra.

Ryan’s dedication to the Chippewa Valley’s vibrant music community has led him to perform with numerous ensembles of all sizes throughout the region. In 2015, he founded the Clear Water Chamber Players, a nonprofit chamber music organization that presents performances primarily during the summer months between orchestral seasons. In addition to his local engagements, Ryan has appeared with many groups across the Midwest.
