“The Arts Are All Around Us” • March 8 at 2pm, Heyde Center for the Arts, Chippewa Falls • On a mission to share their love of music with the community, this year’s CVCC concert features an eclectic mix of well-known classical pieces, big-band numbers, culturally important songs from Bob Dylan, and original music by local artist Jerry Way, whose song “The Arts Are All Around Us” provides the title for the program. Tickets ($10 for adults, $5 for students/seniors) are available at Foreign 5 (123 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls) or at the door.

Congratulations to Gretchen Accola, Prestyn Bernier, Jeremiah Becker, and Matthew Martinez for their hard work and wonderful playing, earning them a trip to the Badger State WMTA contest held at UW-River Falls this past weekend! Matthew Martinez was named the Runner-Up for 10th grade - way to go, Matthew!

WSMA Solo and Ensemble, April 2nd : Laura,Prestyn,Grace, Rebekah,Nathan, and Matthew. Carrie advances to State on May 7th at UWEC!
WMTA District Auditions, April 9th:
George, Justin, Isaac, Grace, Thomas, Rebekah, CJ, Benjamin, Anjali, Caleb, Emily, Sam, Walker, and Jalynn. Gretchen, Jeremiah, Prestyn, Carrie, and Matthew all advance to State on May 21st at UW-River Falls!

Congratulations to one of my students Benjamin LeMay for earning the Champion award at the 4-H Fair for his performance of a hard piano toccata - way to come home with that substantial plaque Benjamin!
