Next Saturday, the 21st and the following Saturday I will be teaching at the Art Gallery a Part 2 class of Intuitive Abstract Painting. We will be using masking tape to cover parts of the painting, then paint some more, then add or take away some tape, dry the canvas add more tape, etc. Until, finally we reveal what's under all the tape which is a surprise to everyone, including YOU! It's a super fun process and really helps you get into your intuitive side.
You need to have taken my first Intuitive Abstracts Class to be a part of this one. We will review some basics, learn new techniques and paint, paint, paint! And talk and laugh and make a mess.

On May 25, 1986, something truly remarkable unfolded across the United States. More than six million people from every walk of life joined hands, forming a single human chain stretching from New York City all the way to Long Beach, California.

The event, known as Hands Across America, transformed strangers into neighbors and made hope visible. While celebrities like Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie helped shine a spotlight on the cause, the real power came from everyday people—parents and children, workers and students—standing side by side with a shared commitment to fight hunger and homelessness.

For fifteen unforgettable minutes, a living ribbon of humanity crossed cities, deserts, farmland, and rivers, proving that even in a vast and diverse nation, unity is possible.

The effort raised millions for food banks and housing programs, but its greatest legacy wasn’t financial. It was the message it left behind—a reminder that when we reach out and join hands, literally or figuratively, we can create something far greater than ourselves.

And perhaps now more than ever, it’s time to reach out again.🥰😍

What a GRAND time we had in Art Class today!! We were the Courageous Colors girls for sure. Day 2 of the first attempt at Intuitive Painting which is very different from painting with a plan. it requires digging deep within ourselves and letting go of constraints. It's really challenging. And loads of fun.
It also requires making a mess and letting that be ok, experimenting, making crazy color choices, being adventurous.
Here are wild and crazy concoctions we came up with on our journey. Some are finished, some are still heading toward adventure. Enjoy!

Remember finger painting when you were little? Before you could even read? Before you had any idea that people had opinions about your paintings? Abstract painting is like that- total freedom to express yourself- no opinions. Freedom!!
You don't need ANY painting experience whatsoever to take my Abstracts class, Courageous Colors. Just be ready to be a child again, have fun, express yourself.
