I've been on a spiritual pilgrimage my entire life. Raised in a Christian home, I found a personal relationship with God early on at a David Wilkerson Crusade, a moment that shaped my journey ahead.

My love for art took root in kindergarten, blossomed throughout school, and eventually led me to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Yet, God had a bigger plan for my life. Though my passion for art remained, I felt a growing call toward ministry.

That call led me to partner with my parents in managing a Christian family camp and retreat center in Southwestern Ohio. Over time, I became the Executive Director, overseeing summer youth camps and retreats. Ministry became my life’s work, but as it grew, my paintbrushes gathered dust for many years.

Then, about ten years ago, I felt a stirring in my heart—my love for painting was reborn. It was as if God had reignited that passion, reminding me that my purpose was to combine my love for art with ministry.

Now, I paint to inspire people to grow closer to God and to reflect the beauty of His creation. My most recent work is a collection based on Christian music, and I can honestly say that creating it felt like a divine experience. I truly believe this artwork was God-inspired, and when it was finished, I knew it would touch the hearts of many who love Jesus.

The reactions to this collection have been incredible. People have been deeply moved, their spirits uplifted by the personal connection they feel with the art. It’s been a joy to see how God is using this work to bring healing, joy, and inspiration.

This is the second bourbon barrel I have painted as a fundraiser. This barrel will be auctioned for the Dress For Success nonprofit organization in Louisville KY next month. It is a Kentucky derby theme on a Woodford Distilleries barrel.
