August at Sacred Moon Farm. 🌻

Golden evening light. Flowers growing a little wild. Friends wandering through the gardens with mason jars and lemonade…

Tonight was our first little Golden Hour Bouquet Walk, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be simple, slow and beautiful.

Sunflowers, zinnias, black-eyed Susans, lavender, herbs and wildflowers …we loved seeing what everyone created to take home.💖

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent a little golden hour with us. Sometimes the simplest gatherings are the sweetest. 💛

We can’t wait to do this again!🌻✨

Pop up tomorrow!🌻💫

Sunday, 6-830 pm✨

The flowers are blooming like crazy, the August evenings are turning golden and we thought -why not open the gardens?

Come to Sacred Moon tomorrow evening for our golden hour bouquet walk! We’ll give you a mason jar and scissors and you can wander through the gardens at your own pace. Fill your jar with a seasonal bouquet from what’s blooming right now …lots of zinnias, black-eyed Susans, Queen Anne’s Lace, borage, hyssop, sunflowers and more.

I’ll be wandering around the gardens too, helping you find what’s ready to cut and sharing a little about some of the more unusual flowers growing here! Grab a glass of lavender lemonade, wander, and stop into the Cat House Boutique which will be open all evening. We are keeping this first event small so the bouquets are first come first serve while flowers last!

Come wander the gardens at golden hour and take a little piece of August home with you.🌿

Borage.
She’s the star of the show here at Sacred Moon Farm. She covers the banks of the pond, flows between the dahlias and helps hold up their blooms, is a favorite landing pad for the bees, and smells like fresh cucumber, especially after a rain.

Borage is edible, and just like it smells, tastes like cucumber. This year the usually blue borage surprised us with white blooms (just one plant) and one plant of pink🩷

In the late 1500s in an herbal book, the herbalist says to ‘use the flowers in salads to make the mind glad, for the driving away of sorrow, and increasing joy… and quiet the frantic and lunatic person.’

I don’t know if it can do all of that..but I do know that every day I love walking amongst the borage, eating a blossom here and there, and watching the bees collect the nectar. The delicate star-shaped flowers truly do bring me joy✨

A little reading from the Osho oracle deck that inspired me today. Never forget that you are an artist, a creative being with gifts to share with the world.✨

July Buck Moon | Full Moon in Aquarius🌕

Mercury has finally turned direct. The Sun has stepped into Leo. Saturn continues its retrograde journey. The lunar nodes have left Virgo–Pisces and entered the Leo–Aquarius axis, beginning a new 18-month chapter. And this week, the Moon grows full in the sign of Aquarius.

This year's Buck Moon feels especially fitting in Aquarius.
Like the buck growing a new set of antlers each summer, Aquarius reminds us that growth often requires becoming more fully ourselves. It is the archetype of the free thinker, the visionary, the one willing to stand apart from the crowd when necessary. Aquarian energy doesn’t want to be bound or held too close - it needs room to breathe. This independent streak gives power to stand alone when needed - proud, not afraid of uniqueness, stubborn and bold.

Yet Aquarius isn't meant to walk alone...

As ruler of the 11th House of community, friendship, and humanity, it reminds us that while we each have our own unique path, we flourish when the whole herd is healthy. There is a beautiful balance between honoring our individuality and finding the people who truly see and support us.

Join us Thursday evening as we explore where Aquarius lives in your own natal chart and what it's asking you to embrace.

Together we'll share ceremonial cacao, reflect on themes of freedom, independence, purpose, and belonging, and gently release what no longer supports the person you're becoming.

Where is your authentic self asking for just a little more room to breathe?

On my morning walks through the farm, I can feel the season beginning to shift.

The sunflowers are in full bloom, even as some of their leaves begin to brown. Instead of the red-winged blackbirds defending their nests, the mourning doves softly coo and the crows gather and chat. The zinnias seem to glow like a rainbow during golden hour, and the evenings linger just a little longer before giving way to dusk.

August always feels like a threshold.

Summer isn't over, but something begins to soften. It's a season that invites us to slow down, savor what remains, and gather in meaningful ways.

If you've been looking for a little more peace, inspiration, or connection this week, we'd love to welcome you.
