Congratulations to the cast of “In the Heights”. We are so proud of each of you for how you showed up and shined at auditions and callbacks. Casting is never easy- especially at a school filled with so many students who possess so much talent, passion, and heart. Know that we are so proud of you all. Remember, if the cast list didn’t go the way you hoped it would, we encourage you to keep showing up and pushing forward. And remember, joy will still find you in this show- no matter what role you play. We can’t wait to jam in Washington Heights together so soon! 🎇

VOCAL AUDITIONS - Prepare 1 minute of a song in the style of the show. Be sure to bring a device with a backing track that can connect to our speaker via lightning or Type-C cable. There will be a form to fill out in the hallway before you audition, or you can stop by G152 to grab that audition form any day beforehand and have it ready to turn in during your audition. Vocal auditions will be happening in a small group setting on both August 18 and August 19. This will take place in the ERHS Theater.

DANCE AUDITIONS - You MUST attend BOTH DAYS of auditions to be considered for the cast. Dance auditions will take place on August 19 from 6 to 8 PM in the ERHS theater. Be sure to wear dance appropriate clothing, such as close-toed tennis shoes and athletic wear that you can move in. Bring water, too!

WELCOME BACK MUSTANGS! 🧡💙 We are so excited for another year of theater together. Auditions are approaching for the hit, hot, hip-hop musical we are producing this fall. Seniors, you led this theater department by example with your kindness, maturity, respect, professionalism, and extreme dedication to your craft. Additionally, your talent across the board as a class is pretty remarkable and rarely found at a high school level. While it may feel like a loss for this program to see you all go, it certainly is a gain for the world. ERHS Theater was blessed by all of your hard work and talent the past 4 years. We can’t wait for you to embark on new adventures ahead and experience all the joy that is waiting for you.

Beautiful art starts with a beautiful heart, which is what each of you have. Now go out there, take on the world, and spread little sprinkles of joy and theater magic wherever life takes you ✨🎭
