I’m pretty excited about how I placed this flower. Notice how it’s not actually touching the leaves? It looks like a complete flower but actually missing the stem! I think I’ll try this with a few other types of flowers too. What do you think?

I came across a meadow of flowers during a hike last summer. There were so many beautiful flowers I had to make a few trips back to the to pick more. I don’t think they are native wildflowers, more likely someone scattered a packet of flower seeds, but they survived & thrived in the wild of Orcas Island. This particular piece is actually 5 different shades of the same flower. I had fun playing with such color & texture! I think it turned out pretty cool. What do you think? #
