WoodsmanCarvings Lee is a Pacific Northwest logger who turned to carving as a hobby. The San Juan Islands are rich with a variety of trees. Lee will also do carvings on requests.

Most of his work is done in his wife's barbershop where locals come to chat, hang out or get a shave. Lee collects unique pieces of wood, mostly from the shorelines, and some from his logging days. Occasionally clients from his wife’s barbershop donate wood for Lee’s carvings -like the piece of 100+ year old black walnut Lee used for Isabelle and Ivan. Lee is currently working on a special series

of dragons, using pieces of metal from his father’s old soldering kit. Lee is also working on a life-size carving of an eagle with a salmon in its talons that will be donated to Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (A.B.V.I). All of Lee’s pieces are unique, one of a kind carvings and each piece is signed with his signature: two tiny pine trees burned into the wood. [email protected] for the requests.
