Your dance family loves you, Ivy! 💛
Tomorrow, one of our MKDS dancers, Ivy, will be honored by the Philadelphia Union, Philadelphia’s professional soccer team and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), at their stadium in Chester, PA.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and every year the Union partners with Kisses for Kyle, a local organization that supports children and families affected by childhood cancer, to honor a group of 43 incredible children through their Fearless 43 program.
The number 43 comes from the approximate number of children who were being diagnosed with cancer every day when the program began. The Fearless 43 represents children who are currently fighting cancer, have completed treatment, are living with the effects of cancer, or have faced relapse. They are recognized as warriors—not just for what they have endured, but for the courage they show every day.
Ivy is one of this year’s Fearless 43. 💛
After everything Ivy has been through, with her cancer journey, having her recognized in this way is incredibly special. Tomorrow, she and the other Fearless 43 children will be celebrated at the Union’s Kick Childhood Cancer match, in front of thousands of fans, as the team shines a spotlight on these amazing kids and the families who have walked this journey with them.
We are so incredibly proud of Ivy. She has shown, over and over again, what it means to be fearless—not because she wasn't scared, but because she kept moving forward anyway.
Please join us in celebrating Ivy and all of the Fearless 43 children tomorrow! 💛⚽️
