This Juneteenth, we invite you to explore the creativity and cultural expression of African American artists through a powerful collection of art.

Featuring works by David C. Driskell, Jacob Lawrence, Faith Ringgold, and Nelson Stevens, PRINTMAKING AND THE UNCONVENTIONAL PATHWAYS OF AFRICAN AMERICAN ARTISTS explores how generations of African American artists forged new paths to success by using printmaking as a medium for innovation, collaboration, and cultural expression.

Presented in partnership with The Stamford Museum and Nature Center, the exhibition offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the profound contributions of African American artists and their enduring impact on American culture.

Our studio was deeply saddened by the passing of Danny Simmons this week. He will be remembered as a celebrated friend, artist, collaborator, and true supporter of the arts!

Our relationship with Simmons included producing "Deeper Desire" in 2018. The multi-media print is a digitally pigmented serigraph comprised of four unique images that create a unified work when joined.

On loan from our collection at Raven Editions, this exhibition features works by African American artists who have built distinguished careers through innovations in printmaking, using it as a primary medium, a tool for collaboration, and a democratic way to share their art.
