A quick look at last weekend’s Artscape - despite a constant downpour of rain on Saturday, people came out and I sold 11 pieces! Being under the overpass was brilliant - despite the weather peeps could congregate, run into neighbors and comfortably hang out.
A total of 17 pieces sold but more importantly I met so many amazing people and left each day riding high on the good vibes of Artscape. Special shout out to John for literally doing the entire weekend with me - he helped make it amazing.

Andrea Kreeger Waters made this beautiful tribute to her beloved late father-in-law and gave it to her husband on Easter Sunday. The coordinates are the location of her father-in-law’s reef ball located at Clint Water’s Reef at Cook’s Point.

Reef Balls are concrete structures mixed with cremated remains—to form permanent underwater memorials. These structures serve as artificial reefs, fostering new marine life while providing a lasting, submerged resting place for loved ones.

Mosaics Class sees many incredible projects, and it’s a testament to the class that peeps can create work that captures a legacy. Andrea came in with this design idea and it’s a little peek at her deep creative mind.

She’s committed to doing another and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Watching Sharon Bianchetti grow as an artist is a truly spectacular thing to behold. She’s got the most important attribute - she isn’t afraid to try. She drew this design herself, and executed the mosaic beautifully. She’s dedicated to this discipline and has already started her next one.

Arne and Sara Paulson and are a super duo in mosaics class - they’ve made sculptures, a backsplash for their fireplace, and many mosaics over the years. Melisa Ricks is a longtime ceramist, painter and mosaic artist. This is her first piece in our Mosaics Class and it’s just perfection.
There’s special meaning to the stained glass that she used! Most of it comes from her late Nana’s collection and I think this is such a beautiful way to use it.
