There are many ways to not only get to Prodigy, but there are many places to park, as well. Our 'main entrance' is in the back of Eastworks, though. The Prodigy website has a great page with exact instructions on how to get here.

Mattel had Barbie, Hot Wheels, Intellivision... and the Hyper Scan. One of the first home video game consoles to use RFID tech to read external data (like Amiibo) was also one of the fastest products pulled from the shelves for Mattel. 1 year and 30k sold, this console disappeared like it never existed.

This goes to show you, you never know until you try. Risks are part of life, but also know when to pull the plug.

One of the most asked about relic at Prodigy is the burnt SNES on display. In fact, it's an SNES melted to an NES UForce controller. The UForce was a peripheral that sensed your hand movement over a flat surface, similar to the Power Glove, but even worse to use.

The story is that a local family had a garage fire and this SNES suffered the consequences. The switches still move so maybe eventually I'll cut it open and insert some working innards and have it as a functional SNES. We'll see...

Modern Gamer: The King's cut scenes are unrealistic and repetitive. No camera angle control. The plot is shallow. The color pallete is limited. No DLSS support and FPS locked at only 60. Ray tracing, non existent. No unlimited continues and just too difficult. Overall... meh.

Prodigy's retro gallery can bring you back to a different time as you walk down the chronologically displayed timeline of releases. The museum of memories can be sparked where physical media is alive and well, preserved for your enjoyment.

With admission, you can flip through physical binders of printed pages listing over 6000 games from 1976 to 2006, and some beyond, but nothing newer than 2014. When you see a game you like, you can play it on original software and original hardware. It's that easy to travel back in time. Doc Brown didn't even have to hit his head for this one!

Prodigy won Best Minigolf in Massachusetts in 2024 by Golf Magazine and since then, the course has gotten even better! I have just completed the remixing of many holes and remastering of the entire course for a fresh new look including many new strategies! If you haven't played in a while, you owe yourself a new challenge.

Remember, Prodigy is ages 13+ only, so keep that in mind as you're planning a date night or an adult gathering. Please check out the website before stopping by to check out the hours and all the rules. See you soon! ⛳️🕹️🎱♟️

NEW HOLE ALERT!

This is it! The final hole to be remixed has been completed. The course has now been entirely remixed and remastered. 😀

Hole 14 is very different than it's predecessor. The intro ring & string mechanism is the same, but slightly adjusted to accommodate the changes to the fairway and green.

The fairway gives you 2 new approaches depending on your mechanism accomplishments. The thruways are narrow, so be careful! Also, the green has been greatly expanded and the hole has been moved to the edge of the slope. Good luck! It's still a par 4, but plays much more like a par 5 if you don't sink a tunnel on the mech.

Now that the course remix is complete, I'll be working on brand new strategy videos in the coming weeks.

At the front desk, we've had stacks of flyers for 2 very different upcoming Western Mass music festivals that both hold a special space in my heart and much of our clientele shows love for each… and sometimes both.

For Western Mass festivals, one holds the finest in jam music, whilst the other holds the mega mosh of heavy music. One features bands with names like Leftover Salmon, Future Joy and Desert Rain, while the other has bands like Wh**es, Squid Pi**er and Horse Grave. Though, a Venn diagram would show a commonality of skulls, references to ‘Dead,’ awesome indie artists, tent camping in the dark woods and of course in general, really good people!

I’ve been to both festivals many times and I support both Wormtown Music Festival 2026 and RPM Fest. If you’re going to either or both, stay safe and enjoy the music!
