Spring is here and so is our biggest class lineup yet!!

This season we're bringing you SIX incredible instructors, more class variety than we've ever offered, and something entirely new that we've been dreaming about for a while.

From learning to use your machine for the first time, to adding pockets to everything you own with Malinda Lesko, to mastering foundation paper piecing, to the slow and intentional art of hand appliqué with Rae Heller — there is something here for every kind of maker at every kind of level.

And then there's the Spring Studio Series!

This is our brand new choose-your-own-adventure approach to learning -- instead of an instructor handing you a pattern and walking everyone through the same steps, YOU decide what you're working on. Bring the quilt you've been meaning to start. The garment pattern you've been too nervous to cut into. The pile of scraps with potential. Pick your track, show up, and get the guidance, accountability, and hands-on support to actually finish it.

There are so many amazing classes this semester it's impossible to just pick one to feature - so let's just stick with the one that starts first!

This semester's Beginner Quilt Along is the Log Cabin quilt. I love Log Cabin quilts - they can go from classic to modern depending on their fabric and design, they have a ton of solid fundamental skills, and they're honestly just FUN.

Over 8 classes, we go over every step of quilt construction, from the first cut to the piecing to the quilting to the binding!

There are still a few spaces left! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the basics of cleaning and maintaining your sewing machine, including cleaning, lint removal, oiling, tension adjustments, and other preventative care tips. (While this workshop will not replace bringing your machine to a shop for servicing periodically, you'll learn how to extend its life and what regular upkeep can prevent bigger, costlier repairs later on.)

Our HandiQuilter Avante 18 Longarm sewing machine (named Susie Lou!) is NOW ready to be rented out by YOU, our Hoop & Bee community!

Our goal is for people to make quilts–period! That means there’s no hurt feelings if you’d rather rent some time on the Avante to finish your own quilt than have the Hoop & Bee team finish it for you. We know not everyone is comfortable with the idea of leaving their quilt top with someone else, even another quilter.

New class schedule has been announced! We are moving into summer with an amazing lineup of classes - some new and some tried and true!

We are so thrilled to announce a new garment construction series hosted by Malinda Lesko. Learn how to sew your own clothes and make an outfit in the week using two amazing patterns from Helen's Closet: the June top & the Reynolds shorts.

Also new this season is the Radiant Wedge Pillow Workshop! If you're one of the dozens of people who've come through the studio and asked about the sunshine pillows on our couches - this one is for you!
