About Us�The Gift Barn Inc. is a family-run small business with deep roots dating back to 1976, when Bob & Viola Brown first opened our doors. In the late 1990s, Lauralee & Herb carried the business forward, continuing to grow and evolve what has become a beloved Cape Cod destination. Today, the next generation—Abigail—is proud to carry on the tradition while building the future of the business.
Located on a beautiful former turnip and asparagus farm, The Gift Barn has grown into a 5,000+ square foot gift shop filled with unique items for every occasion. Our property also features a fun, farm-themed 18-hole miniature golf course and a lively arcade with modern redemption games and prizes. We’re proud to offer an experience that brings joy to visitors of all ages.
About the Role�-
We’re looking for a full-time, full-season Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
This is a seasonal, recurring role. We are seeking applicants who can commit to working April through October each year. Our business is closed November through March.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and has a creative eye. A big part of this position involves merchandising and product displays, so it’s a great fit for someone who loves making spaces look aesthetically pleasing and inviting.
You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment, helping customers find the perfect items, and ensuring the store looks its best throughout the season.
What You’ll Do -
* Provide friendly, helpful customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
* Assist customers by identifying needs and recommending products
* Answer questions about merchandise, promotions, and store offerings
* Maintain store cleanliness and organization
* Help create and maintain attractive product displays throughout the store
* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
* Assist with daily tasks and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment
* (Optional) Support social media and marketing efforts if interested
What We’re Looking For -
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Ability to stay organized and keep spaces visually appealing
* Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
* An interest in retail, merchandising, or customer experience
* A creative eye for displays and aesthetics is a big plus
* Reliability and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility over time
