🚨 RACING CANCELED – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 🚨
TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK – ICE BOWL QUALIFIER
Unfortunately, Mother Nature has forced us to cancel tonight’s Ice Bowl Qualifier at Talladega Short Track.
With the heavy rainfall we have already received and the potential for additional rain throughout the morning and afternoon, our track surface and facility grounds need time to dry out before we can begin the necessary work to get everything back into racing condition.
Additionally, with reported power outages in the area and a High Wind Advisory in effect, we feel the responsible decision is to cancel tonight’s racing program.
The safety of our fans, competitors, and staff will ALWAYS be our top priority. While we certainly hate to lose another race to weather, there are circumstances beyond our control, and we refuse to compromise anyone’s safety just to get an event in.
We will evaluate our options for a makeup date and announce additional information during the coming week.
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and continued support of Talladega Short Track.
Please stay safe as this weather system moves through our area, and keep those who may be dealing with storm damage or power outages in your thoughts.
