84 days.

That's how many days I have been on Sawmill Court getting Pocono Kidz Academy ready for judgement day; the state inspection. When I say 84 days, I mean 84 days, 84 nights, 84 early mornings, 12 weekends when I would have liked to stay in bed, through days of power outages, no ac, no toilet, tornadoes...I've been here, creating something spectacular.

You may think that small business owners have it so easy...being their own "boss" and all. But since becoming a small business owner 4 years ago, I can tell you from personal experience that the majority of small business owners I know are the most dedicated & determined people I have met. Present company included.

Reaching out to all of you to please send allllll the positive vibes for this inspection tomorrow. Lord knows I am no stranger to hard work, but preparing for this inspection was a level of "work" that even I don't know if I was prepared for. And it's only the beginning.

Hopefully by tomorrow at this time, I will have amazing news to share with all of you. Your words of encouragement mean everything. Thank you for supporting my small businesses!!!

Ya know, you gotta go some to be more extra than me…but today’s party hostess knocked it out of the park!

First off, a 4 hour birthday EVENT (I think parties end at 2 hours 🫣). Now, let’s mention all the amazing local businesses who helped make this party one for the books:

Bliss Cheesecakes Cafe & Grill nailed it with jerk shrimp, lobster ravioli, and sandwiches galore!

Primo's Pizza & Pasta for the win with the amazing pies that the kiddos devoured in under 3 minutes.

Sweets by Faith Otto with all the cookies, macaroons, pretzels and Oreos that I mayyyy or may not have slipped one in my pocket as I was setting them up (🤫)…

Mark Mysterrio for the entertainment with a magic show that had kiddies of all ages mystified!

And of course Pocono Kidz Zone for the best birthday party venue in the Poconos!!

Days like today make me feel so lucky to be part of a community of small business owners who are doing it all for the children of our community.

Reminder: we are CLOSED tomorrow for Sunday Funday due to hosting the most epic birthday party known to man!

We are OPEN Monday for Labor Day with 3 Open Play Sessions: 10AM, 11:30AM & 1PM. After Monday, weekdays are a wrap (though I have been tossing around the idea of an afternoon Toddler Music Class after preschool ends 😝🧐🤩). Grab a spot before the sessions are gone!

I just read a post that mentioned there was “nothing” for children to do around here. Ummm, are you kidding?! The problem isn’t that there’s nothing to do; the problem is people aren’t coming out & supporting what there IS to do! Small businesses are here in the community for locals (not just tourists)…but you have to get out & support them!

People who are not available at these EXACT times need not apply. Looking for 3-4 days to start & after 90 days the potential to increase your hours is highly likely.

Applicants who are local, flexible with scheduling, have a strong work ethic and who WANT TO WORK to the front 👉of the line. Pay is determined by your experience.
