Let's talk about Pocono Kidz Academy!

馃煚To start, I plan to open 3 classrooms, each holding between 10-12 children (depending on age). Ideally, Classroom 1 will be late 2s to mid 3s; Classroom 2 will be high 3s to early 4s & Classroom 3 will be high 4s-5s. If an overabundance of one age group show interest, we may get rid of one of the other options to accommodate (hence why it is SO important to get your interest form in to me!!).
馃煚Initial interest is showing a LARGE demand in 2 or 3-day PART TIME options. We are planning on offering lots of schedule variations to give folks what they want; but obviously is has to make sense for the business to be sustainable.
馃煚I am asking the folks who want FULL TIME (9am-3pm) options (regardless of how many days), to scan the QR code & submit an interest form. Part-timers, please fill it out as well; I need your input too! Once we get a base of full timers, we can sprinkle in the part-timers & hopefully fill these rooms.
馃煚I am going to be contacting the people who submit interest forms FIRST to schedule tours in July. All tours are appointment only. If you know me, you know I am passionate about meeting & connecting with people. You will be given the opportunity to register AT THE TOUR, by submitting your registration fee & activity fee to hold your spot, as well as required documents (more info in July). Please note these fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. As an incentive, those who register at their tour will be offered a DISCOUNTED registration fee of $60 per child; but you must submit everything needed at the tour. The activity will not be discounted if you register at the tour.
馃煚The first tuition payment will be due around August 21 & will include 4 weeks tuition (the FIRST 2 weeks of the year & LAST 2 weeks of the year). After the first payment, tuition will be due every 2 weeks (bimonthly) on Fridays at 5pm. I am really focused on being AFFORDABLE & accommodating working families, but I have LARGE bills to pay. I am releasing the rates NOW so that families who are registering can get prepared for the August payment & fees. My desired start date is the week of August 31st; but this all depends on when the licensing inspection from Scranton is scheduled.
Common questions:
鉁达笍Will you accept subsidy payments? Yes; once I get my Certificate of Compliance I will be registering to accept subsidy payments. This will not be immediately offered as I have to set it up with the state.
鉁达笍Will you offer meals? Yes; once I am licensed I will be participating in the Food Program. This will take time to get started, but we have a full kitchen on-site & meals will definitely be offered when training & staffing are in place.
鉁达笍What is the monthly tuition?
For the 2026-2027 school year, the monthly tuition is as follows per child:
-3 DAY (PT):
Available either M/W/F from 8:30-11:30AM OR 12-3PM-$425
-3 DAY (FT): M/W/F 9AM-3PM- $ 775
-2 DAY (PT)
Available either Tu/Th from 8:30-11:30AM OR 12-3PM- $335
-2 DAY (FT): Tu/Th 9AM-3PM-$625
-5 DAY (PT): M/Tu/W/Th/F 8:30AM-11:30PM-$640
-5 DAY (FT): M/Tu/W/Th/F 9AM-3PM-$875
**Remember, not every option may be available due to low interest. It is BEST to get these interest forms in ASAP!!!**
鉁达笍How much is the registration & activity fee?
The registration fee is $75 per child. If you continue enrollment at PKA you will only pay this once; if you leave for any reason and wish to re-enroll, you will have to submit it again. The activity fee is $35 per child, per year. There is NO sibling discount on the registration fee or the activity fee. BUT, we will offer a 10% sibling tuition discount for additional siblings if both/all siblings are registered at the same time for the same schedule.
鉁达笍Will you offer a Summer Program? Yes; but talk to me in 2027. My brain is at max capacity right now. Definitely yes to Summer & definitely existing students/their siblings will get first crack. Registration will start in February.
