Next Level Dance Center Our dance programs offers creative & fun dance classes for kids of all ages and backgrounds!

At NLDC, we offer a wide range of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, and contemporary to dancers in the Rochester, NY area. Our classes start with Intro to Dance (starting at 2 years) and continue on for dancers through highschool. NLDC offers competitive level programs as well as recreational levels. Our mission is to provide professional leve

l training in a safe and welcoming dance environment regardless of age or ability. Our program offers high impact learning practices that cultivate creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, and collaboration that delivers a student-focused environment that seeks to challenge the mind, engage the heart and delight the senses.

🪩🤩We're currently seeking a part-time Front Desk & Studio Administrative Assistant for the 2026–2027 season.

✨Approximately 10–15 hours/week
✨Weekday evenings + Saturday mornings
✨Dance or performing arts experience strongly preferred

🌼Looking for someone friendly, dependable, organized and comfortable working with children and families.

We’re sorry… but yes, we DO color in dance class. 🤭🖍️Turns out, learning to dance isn’t always just “5, 6, 7, 8!” ✨✨

Sometimes it’s coloring the different parts of a tap shoe 😝😝Sometimes it’s games, props, pictures, silly sayings, or pretending our feet are doing something completely ridiculous🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Why? Because dancers learn in all different ways!

Visualization is a BIG part of learning, especially for our younger dancers. If coloring a tap shoe helps them understand exactly which part of their shoe is making that sound… you better believe we’re breaking out the crayons😂😂😂
So yes, we play in dance class💕
We color in dance class😘
We get a little silly in dance class😳
And somehow, they’re learning the whole time😉

The games were CRAZY and the crafts were GLOWING! Last week was so much fun! That’s a wrap on our summer camps! ⚡️

At Next Level, we don't just develop dancers. We believe in developing great dance educators, too. ✨

Our Teacher Apprentice Program provides selected aspiring teachers with hands-on training and mentorship directly from Studio Owner & Director Miss Lianne, who brings more than 20 years of teaching experience along with continued education through conferences, workshops, and collaboration with other dance educators and studio owners.

📚 Apprentices learn that teaching dance is about much more than knowing choreography. They gain experience with class planning, classroom management, age-appropriate instruction, communicating corrections, and working with different learning styles.

🌱 We also believe great teachers should be versatile. Apprentices are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and explore different styles and age groups, all with hands-on guidance and support.

This program isn't for everyone. We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn, receptive to feedback, willing to be challenged, and genuinely interested in becoming stronger educators.

‼️Because being a great dancer doesn't automatically make someone a great teacher

✨ Teaching is a skill. And we believe it's a skill worth teaching.
