To prevent us from all going stir-crazy, let’s brainstorm what we can do in this down time:
1) get your sites perfected and up to date (Actors Access, Website, Casting Networks, etc.) - - - if this means getting new headshots, then take this time to watch tv shows to see where you fit in. ✨HEADSHOT TIP✨
I was recommended by a rep to watch shows on mute and figure out the professions of each person based on what they are wearing. Use this as your template for how you will dress yourself for your headshot session. This is how I help my clients at begin to style their session
2) SELF TAPE! I have a folder of sooooooo many monologues and scenes I’ve been longing to work on and now finally have the time to do so. Work on them, tape them, and watch yourself. It’s painful, I know, but it’s so helpful. You will learn so much about yourself. Need a reader? Practice a true self tape by recording your own voice and use that as your reader OR check out . I work on there as a reader so HIT ME UP!
3) Get an accountability partner! I couldn’t be more grateful for my unbelievably supportive friend/accountability partner (hey boo!)! Having an AP helps you to set goals, stay creative, and achieve what you need to without getting overwhelmed. We are all in this together!
