Dëmonstration Tapes are new to the scene but not to be missed. Seriously so good!

Snowplows Initially started as a solo-songwriting project, Snowplows is currently a fully-formed band -- a collaborative group ofmusicians with no principal songwriter or frontman.

Matt Dodge, Ariel Rabinovic and Matt Savage have been making music together for almost 30 years. AM Folk finds them reunited under a new banner with a fresh batch of ramshackle artfolk songs. Loose around the edges but sturdy at the core, the (mostly) Boston-based trio sounds old and new at the same time—with discernible influences tangled up in signature quirks and creative sensibilities honed over decades.

Singer/songwriter/musician, Mark Cutler has made a living as a musician for most of his life. He is a 2015 inductee in the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame for his work with the bands The Schemers and The Raindogs as well as his solo work. The Schemers received national exposure on MTV after winning several New England music competitions. Mark’s work with The Raindogs included experimental collaborations with Iggy Pop and the actor Harry Dean Stanton. The Raindogs toured nationally with the likes of Bob Dylan, Don Henley, and Warren Zevon.

Mark has written soundtracks for various independent films. He continues to add unique entries to the great American songbook and currently leads The Men of Great Courage, the tiny string band, MMM, The Sorry Boys and performs as a solo artist. Cutler combines powerful lyrics with memorable melodies and driving rhythm and is always working on new material.

He spins tales about men who drink alone or hover over a lover. He sings stories about ghosts, pro wrestlers, walking in the woods, walking in the night, being remembered, just being alive and getting used to this. Like the character Travis Bickle, Mark will “play anytime and anywhere” and sometimes he’ll show up alone with his guitar and sing for you whether you like it or not. Mark is also the director of The Same Thing Project.

Pulling ghastly ghouls and stomach-churning phobias from the pages of pulp comic books, Creepshow is a wild, blood-soaked horror anthology. Written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, this cinematic comic book serves up twisted, over-the-top tales featuring vengeful zombies, voracious crate beasts, and armies of creepy-crawlies.

Tonight with and ✨

Man Made Hills is the project of songwriter James Carrancio, who recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Rhode Island. His latest album, A Sad Good Ol’ Time (July 2024), takes listeners on a soulful journey through grief and healing. Written in the six weeks following the passing of his mother, the record blends heartfelt storytelling, warm vocals, and dynamic instrumentation to explore love, loss, and resilience. With a balance of raw intimacy and emotional depth, Man Made Hills invites listeners to find beauty and strength in life’s most difficult moments.

Sinnet is the indie rock project of Boston-based songwriter Aaron Spransy. What started as a solo experiment after his move from Milwaukee quickly grew into a rotating cast of collaborators and a distinctive sound that blends indie rock with touches of soul, surf, pop, and psychedelia. Drawing inspiration from artists like Paul Simon, Spoon, and Elliott Smith, Sinnet’s songs are sharp, melodic, and rich with emotional undercurrents.

Named after his late mother's tennis-themed license plate, Sinnet is as personal as it is playful. The band has released several albums and EPs—including Midwest Manners and Island Town—and has played across the East Coast and Midwest. Along the way, they’ve earned praise from the Boston Phoenix, performed at Converse's Rubber Tracks, and shared bills with artists like Tim Kasher and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

Hot Franks is a rollicking countrified band delivering memorable Americana originals and a diverse array of cover songs ranging from Patsy Cline to the Ramones. Sure to break your heart with a tear-jerking ballad one minute, then scorch the ground beneath your feet the next. Their marriage of old country, rockabilly, 1960s girl-groups, with a pinch of punk rock yields something old, new, borrowed, and blue.

Providence, Rhode Island’s Olivia Dolphin brings a deep and gritty honesty to her lyrics that captures an audience. Whether it’s a song about embracing your imperfections, being ghosted, or challenging yourself, Dolphin’s vulnerability pulls you in.

Ferns and Fiddleheads, made up of Isabel Arango-Tobon and Tess McGowan, is a folk-inspired duo based in Rhode Island.

Happy Little Clouds is a genre-blurring indie rock band from Boston crafting emotionally charged, melody-forward music with a raw edge & radiant heart. Their self-described sound “grit-pop” weaves the brightness of power pop, the nerve of post-grunge & the introspection of 90s alt-rock.
