Ebru Fine Art Ebru, an ancient Turkish print making technique. In my work, both traditional forms of calligraphy and patterns as well as modern expressions in the medium.

I was fortunate to learn this form of ancient print making from two masters of this art, Feridun Ozgorn and Hikmet Barutcugil in the 1990s . The process itself it profound, it is a conversation with the mediums used and an exploration of the meanings and visual representations of the symbols and their expressions that lie beyond the verbal .

New series in process. Glagolitic symbols rendered in 2 layer monoprints Ebru. Glagolitic is an ancient Slavic alphabet, some of the letters represent whole words. The symbols are powerful and expressive.
