Are you ready to keep your body moving this summer or are looking for a new activity? Do you enjoy meeting new people but haven't quite found your activity yet? Do you enjoy discovering new music or learning history? Do you like to dance or want to learn for the first time? Do you just want some time for yourself? Does a typical gym membership not work for you?

Here at Silk Road Studio-Peoria, you can do it all! Adults of any age start this style of dance all the time, so it only takes a little bravery to step into the studio for that first class.

Belly Dance Basics I (BDB I) - great for brand new beginners or review. Don't worry if you've taken this class before, your combos and drills will be different!
Belly Dance Basics IV (BDB IV) - any student who has taken BDB I & II prior can take this class (or by teacher approval). We will be tackling more advanced combos and travel steps!

For those interested in drop-in classes, we have two on the schedule this month before we head into our spring break (May 1 to May 25).

You can sign up at the link below - they are under the 1hr option and will take place the next 2 Sundays at 3pm. It's a great way to try out a class if you don't want to commit to a full session. Depending on how many people we have in the room, we may do something a bit different as well!

Boosting to spread the word!

A fellow dancer has been working on some apps/software development to help out dancers/instructors and is looking for some support while in the development stage. Myself, as well as many other instructors, have been talking in the Dev group for a couple months about the next upcoming app to make sure the right needs are addressed. We are really hoping for this app replacement, as it will make all our lives easier (including students!)

If you want to pass a few dollars along to help make this process easier until the releases are live, I know it would be greatly appreciated by Kamrah!

After such a great show with the awesome dancers on Saturday, I can announce the final number. We raised over $1250 for Grafelman Farms Rescue!

Between all the amazing audience members who showed up and the generous donations/raffles, we're proud to be able to send these funds to help support local rescue work. We know it will be put to good use.

Tomorrow is our Shimmy Showcase and we are excited!

Come see all the fabulous dancers from around Illinois, have a drink, buy some raffles (cash $5 for 6 tickets), and support Grafelman Farms Rescue on Saturday, April 11 at the American Legion Post #100 in Washington. Doors at 545pm, show starts 630.

Only $10 cash at the door, you can enjoy all this and more! It makes a great night out with friends or family, so don't forget to share the event.
