The High Priestess sits quietly and patient, on her head she wears a crown of the wanning,waxing and full moon. Her gown is a pale blue this tells us she is interested in spiritual matters. In her hand she holds a scroll ,the Torah which holds great spiritual knowledge. The cross has equal arms and represents the four elements fire,earth,air and water with the center of the cross representing God.
The two pillars one black and one white represent masculine and feminine and remind us that their must be balance for great knowledge and power. The letter B and J stand for Boaz and Jakin these were the names of the two pillars in the temple of Solomon. Water flows from her over a crescent moon representing the pool of knowledge and the psychic. She knows the past the present and the future. She teaches us that in order to find the answer to a situation or a problem we must reflect in and be patient,we must look deep within and if we are truly honest with ourselves we will find the answer that we are seeking.

The magician in his right hand he holds a staff and points toward the heavens as his left hand points toward the earth. This allows him to manifest anything he desires, he also knows that ideas and dreams are useless if you do not take action and bring to life.He receives his wisdom from above and directs it to the earth. He has on his table the contents of the fools knapsack, a sword, a penticle, a cup and wand and he understands that each is very powerful so he must find the right balance of these in order to create what he seeks,if he is not careful it could prove to be disastrous.
He understands that thoughts are energy that go out into the world so he is careful of his words and actions. He teaches us that we have everything we need to succeed but we must be clear and honest with ourselves. We must focus on our goals and understand what we are doing and why, and we must be committed.

The fool enters the world pure and innocent excited about the journey he is about to start. He carries with him all the elements of the tarot in his sack, because he will need them along the way. He is pure of heart, perhaps the small dog is telling him to slow down and be cautious because he is not looking at his first step carefully, which is the cliff and he could fall and get hurt,. Perhaps he is telling him he is not dressed properly for the journey and the coldness of the mountains in the distance. Whatever the journey we must be prepared think and use good judgement think things through before jumping in because if we do not than we are the fool.
