Working the salvia back in July, pollen dusted and catching the light. Ruby-throated hummingbird, backlit and buzzing through the garden, with the background dissolving into soft bokeh orbs behind her. Shot through the foreground blooms for that layered look in the first image, and dining al fresco in the second.

This dock has a way of putting photographers in each other’s paths. Barely had my tripod set up before someone walked up thinking I was another photographer he was meeting there, turned out to be Ben Williamson. We crossed paths a few times, both chasing the same sunrise. My apologies for not introducing myself, Benjamin Williamson Photography.
